The Bitter Housewife Grapefruit Bitters
The Bitter Housewife
If you love bright, citrusy cocktails, especially with grapefruit - sweet, sour, and bitter all at the same time - then these bitters are for you. They have tons of grapefruit flavor without the acid of too much grapefruit juice. A few dashes will brighten up any cocktail like a squeeze of juice will, but you don’t have to worry about having a grapefruit on hand or adding too much acidity to your drink. These bitters highlight the floral notes of grapefruit with the addition of hops. It's balanced out with earthy ginger, and rich honey. Use it to add new life to gin, vodka, and tequila as well as wine spritzers, champagne cocktails, and floral aperitifs like Lillet, St. Germain, or classic dry vermouth.
- 100 ml bottle
- ingredients: alcohol, water, honey, grapefruit peel, fresh ginger, coriander, cardamom, gentian, hops
- Handmade in the USA
The Bitter Housewife believes that making things from scratch produces better results than store bought and set out to create a product that spoke to women in an intelligent way, something that didn’t intimidate or exclude the novice, but also didn’t talk down to anyone. She wanted to create a brand for herself and her friends – whiskey drinking, fun loving, go-getting women. All of their bitters are made by hand in small batches using real ingredients - fresh citrus peels, whole herbs and spices, and just a touch of organic cane sugar.
