Obsidian is worn a reminder to dispel negativity. Wearing the stone can inspire balance and help one feel more grounded, fearless and confident. Rudraksha seeds grow inside of what look like blueberries on trees South East Asia. In Buddhism and Hinduism, the beads are believed to provide inner calm, peace, and free one from negative thought. The beads get darker over time as they absorb your oils and energy. This is thought to strengthen the rudraksha.

Mala Collective pieces are handmade by female artisans throughout Asia, using traditional techniques. Each necklace is handknotted between every bead — this is an authentic feature of a mala. All of their bracelets are handstrung and use real gemstones--never plastic or dyed glass. They also use real sandalwood from India and rudraksha from Indonesia.
